Watermelon Strawberry Smoothie


What a great refreshing idea to change up your smoothie game.  Watermelon is light and summery; I added chia seeds for extra protein but you can also add a scoop of your favourite protein powder if you wish (make sure it’s a light coloured one, the green will take away from the beautiful colour otherwise). 

For 2 smoothies:

  • 2 cups cubed watermelon
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 banana (optional. I liked it for consistency but you will obviously taste the banana)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/3 cup coconut milk 
  1. Let chia seeds soak in coconut milk for a few minutes while you cut and prep all the fruit. 
  2. Add remaining ingredients (fruit) and blend. 
  3. Chill or serve immediately. Enjoy!???????
